Healthy Apple Sandwich with Peanut Butter

Healthy Apple Sandwich with Peanut Butter

Very easy, but delicious and healthy dessert that you can enjoy for breakfast or pack as a morning snack. Thanks to the peanut butter inside, one apple "sandwich" will fill you up well and will provide you with the energy needed for morning.

Only four ingredients will be enough for this easy recipe. Basically, they are layered apple slices with nut butter, cinnamon and raisins. This apple sandwich contains healthy fats, as well as a considerable amount of fiber. Eventually we can replace peanut butter in this recipe with cashew butter or almond butter (I recommend this one) .

Together with cinnamon and handful of raisins, this apple delicacy is literally irresistible. Beauty is in simplicity.

A high-quality peanut butter (preferably bio, without added sugar and hardened fat, with at least 90% of peanuts) has beneficial effects on our health. Not only is it a food rich in (healthy) fats, but it’s also a great protein source (30g per 100g!). Peanut butter also contains vitamins E, B1, B3, coenzyme Q10, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and phosphor. It has positive effects on lowering blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, and heart attacks. Eaten regularly, it effectively lowers the risk of diabetes.
