
Spelt blondie cake with nuts
Deliciously soft spelt blondie cake with nuts the whole family will enjoy. It is easy to prepare and even easier to consume. It can make for a great breakfast or as a coffee dessert. Moreover, this simple cake is prepared in a single bowl.
You simply mix all the ingredients together and bake the resulting dough. This recipe for quick blondie should be mastered by every beginner in the kitchen, so feel free to send children or your husband to the kitchen and wait for the tempting nutty scent.
You can use cow's milk or plant milk, according to your preferences (for example, oat, almond, or coconut milk).
Spelt blondie with nuts can be served with nut butter, peanut cream () or topped with Greek yogurt. Of course, it is also excellent on its own. You can prepare this for your guests if they are not allergic to nuts.
And don't forget, 1 cup in recipes always represents a volume of 250 ml.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of spelt flour (I recommend this one)
- 1/2 cup of any milk (or more)
- 4 tbsp of honey (I recommend this one)
- 2 tbsp of coconut oil (I recommend this one)
- 5 tbsp of apple puree or yogurt
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 100g of walnuts (or other kind of nuts) (I recommend these)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients together and then incorporate the wet ingredients into them. You can use a little bit more milk if needed, however the dough should not be too runny.
- Mix in the finely chopped nuts into the dough.
- Pour the resulting dough into a silicone or paper-lined baking sheet (about 15x25cm in size) and bake the cake for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees until golden.
