Easy Protein Bars (Gluten-Free, Sugar-Free)

If you like protein bars in style of Quest bars or similar (just a little less sticky), you will definitely love these beauties. The recipe for these easy protein bars is completely simple, so don't hesitate and let's prepare them.

Protein bars are a suitable fitness snack on the go, or to work or school for fighting off the hunger in between the meals. They deliver a good dose of protein to the body and thanks to it, they will fill you up for a considerably longer time, unlike other sweets and commercial bars. However, in store-bought bars, we can often find ingredients that we don't want to eat - such as sugar, palm oil, preservatives or gluten. Moreover, their price is often too high. And that's why I'm bringing you an easy recipe for gluten-free and sugar-free protein bars that can be prepared in no time.

Among the ingredients, you will only find oats, protein powder, peanut butter (which can also be replaced with almond or cashew butter), water and a pinch of cinnamon. You can also add ingredients according to your own taste, such as dried fruit, coconut, nuts (especially pistachios), cocoa nibs or anything else. You can always change their flavor depending on which protein flavor you will use in the recipe. 1 bar contains approximately 187 calories and 15 grams of protein. 1 cup used in the recipes has a volume of 250 ml.

When you try these tasty homemade protein bars, let me know how you liked them ❤

  3. If dough is too sticky, roll out dough between two pieces of parchment paper until you have desired thickness and place into the freezer for 30 to 60 minutes.
  4. After taking them out, cut and store in the refrigerator.
