Fitness chocolate truffles or pralines with banana cashew filling
Excellent and healthy fitness chocolate truffles or pralines with banana-cashew filling that you can adjust according to your taste. After taking out of refrigerator, the top chocolate layer is irresistibly crunchy and the filling melts on the tongue. Please yourself or your loved ones with this healthy sweet that is **sugar-free, milk-free, egg-free and gluten-free. **
These truffles are a good gift for your loved ones, whether for Valentine's Day or throughout whole year. If you want to give them as a gift for someone, I recommend to make a double dosage of them, otherwise can happen that nothing will be left for them :) Whether you use a mold or you form balls, after packing into a small box or cellophane, you will have a unique, tasty, and especially more healthy gift that will delight both eye and belly.
These fitness pralines look divinely, are healthy, and taste better than well-known boxes of chocolate! The preparation will take just a few minutes, so let's do it.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cashew nuts (I recommend these)
- 1 ripe banana
- 5 Tbsp of finely shredded coconut
- 1/2 scoops of protein powder - preferably vanilla (optional, you can replace with 2 Tbsp coconut and sweeten with Tbsp honey)
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate cut into pieces (70%+) (I recommend this one)
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil (I recommend this one)
- Optional ingredients:
- grated lemon / orange peel
- peanut butter (I recommend this one)
- cranberries or chocolate pieces (I recommend these)
- finely chopped nuts
- oats (instead of coconut) (I recommend these)
Instructions
- Blend cashew nuts, banana, coconut, and protein powder (or 1 tablespoon of honey + 2 Tbsp coconut) in the blender almost until smooth.
- If desired, you can add grated lemon / orange peel, dried cranberries or chocolate chips into the filling.
- Let the prepared filling sit in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
- In a small bowl, melt 1/2 cup of dark chocolate cut into pieces together with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.
- Thanks to coconut oil, chocolate will be easier to work with, it will be smoother and, after cooling, it will be subtly crunchy.
- When using praline molds (e.g. hearts), pour a piece of melted chocolate into each compartment, to cover the bottom of the mold and let it sit in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- Then put a bit of filling into the middle and pour it all with melted chocolate.
- If you don't have the mold, just shape the balls from the filling, wrap them in melted chocolate, put them on the plate and finally sprinkle them with coconut, crushed nuts or other decorative ingredients.
- Let the finished pralines sit in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours.
