Protein Tofu Mousse

Fast and tasty protein tofu mousse that can be prepared with or without protein powder. However, when using protein powder, you will increase the protein content and also modify the resulting flavor of this fitness tofu mousse - try cocoa, pistachio or coffee flavored protein powder. Tofu has a neutral flavor and is full of protein. Hence, if you also use protein powder in the recipe, you will have a real protein bomb at your home :)

This healthy dessert contains just a little of carbohydrates and totally just a few calories. It's really great for all athletes but also for people on diets. You can even enjoy it as dessert during weight loss, thanks to its perfect nutritional values. It is prepared as fast as your blender can blend - you only need to blend all ingredients to the mousse. You will only need blender with good blades and power, and with a large bowl volume (I recommend this one) .

By adding walnut butter, you will give a delicate flavor to this recipe. If you don't like peanut butter, use almond or cashew butter instead. Before serving, decorate this fitness tofu mousse with your favorite nuts, cranberries, dried fruit, goji, coconut or chia seeds. Store the mousse in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

  • 180g (6.3oz) white bio tofu
  • 1 scoop protein powder (you can replace with 1tsp vanilla essence / 1 Tbsp cocoa + 3 Tbsp honey)
  • 50g (1.8oz) plain yoghurt
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter (optional) (I recommend this one)
  • cranberries, raisins, coconut, nuts, chia seeds.. (optional) (I recommend these)

Instructions

  1. Fold all the ingredients into the blender and blend them thoroughly together.
  2. Serve the mousse immediately or put into the refrigerator.
